About Bridget and the Creation of
Physical Therapist Mom
Hi, I Am Bridget Neuendorf
I am a mother, wife, and full time employee with five children and a very helpful and supportive husband! I had twins girls in 2019 and experienced more than I ever imagined being a twin mom.
I have been a Physical Therapist, working mainly in the home health, assisting seniors walk after orthopedic and neuromuscular events. My expertise is in home modifications and equipment recommendations for senior to keep them at home and independent for as long as possible.
After having my twins in 2019, at the age of 38, I realized that I had a pretty severe diastasis recti (separation of my abdominal muscles right down the middle). My OB/GYN took a look after I mentioned it and said, “Yes, you have it, but what do you expect, you just had full term twins.” She didn’t recommend anything for it. No physical therapy, no exercises, nothing in which I should avoid to make it worse…absolutely NOTHING! So, with all of my training and experience as a physical therapist, I thought, I have to do something about this. So, I began a year of joining Facebook groups, taking online continuing education courses for pelvic floor rehab and diastasis recti healing, and I put myself on my own program to heal my body correctly. I was and still am, sick of looking pregnant!
I look forward to providing you with as much information as I can to help you in your pregnancy and postnatal journey. Courses coming soon!
